Dr Dipendra Pandey, who has registered his single candidacy in the General Secretary for the upcoming election of Nepal Medical Association has said that he had given his candidacy to end the political syndicate.
Organising a press meet in the Capital on Tuesday Dr Pandey said that the political polarisation is strong in professional association. He said that he has registered his candidacy to break it all these.
Similarly he also released his 25 pointed commitment during the press conference in which he has three major stands for 3S — salary, safety and specialisation. He said that the salary of the doctors be decided keeping in view the cost of medical studies, other investment and sensitivity of the profession. His commitments also are on implementing national board of medical specialties as envisioned by Medical Education Act, increasing the number of seats of MD by three times within three years, extending government health academies to provinces among various others.
