Kathmandu, February 23
Nepalis evacuated from China will undergo the second round of test after a week.
“The throat swab of the Nepalis under quarantine will be tested on the 14th day of quarantine. Preparations are going on. It could take at least two to three days for reports. All those with COVID-19 negative reports will be sent home," said Dr Basudev Pandey, director at Epidemiology and Disease Control Division.
Earlier nasal and throat swabs collected from Nepalis in quarantine were examined in National Public Health Laboratory, Teku and all of them have tested negative.
The government had airlifted 134 males and 41 females from Wuhan, Enshi, Shiyan, Yichang, Jingmen and Jingzhou of China on February 15. A chartered flight of Nepal Airlines had flown to Wuhan to bring the Nepalis back home.
