Sample collected from China evacuees for the second time

Kathmandu, February 29

Nasal and throat swabs of 175 Nepalis evacuated from China have been collected.

The samples have been collected on the 14 day after the evacuees stayed in quarantine. A team from National Public Health Laboratory had gone to Nepal Electricity Authority Centre, Kharipati today to collect the samples. The Nepalis evacuated from China are under quarantine in the centre since February 16. According to the Ministry of Health and Population the laboratory reports will be out in three days. Those under quarantine will only be sent home if they test negative. First round of sample collection was done on February 16. All of the samples were tested negative of coronavirus.
