Supreme Court issues interim order to prevent coronavirus spread

Kathmandu, March 3

The Supreme Court has issued an interim order telling the goverenment to prevent spread of coronavirus. The order was issued on Monday by a single bench of Justice Tej Bahadur KC in response to public interest litigation filed by advocate Purna Rajbanshi. 
The petitioner had demanded that the government halt flights from and to the countries affected by coronavirus, carry individual screening of passengers in Tribhuvan International, establish health desks at areas bordering with China, ensure adequate number of health professionals at Tribhuvan International Airport, carry out awareness programmes and take precautionary measures to control coronavirus outbreak in the country.
